Penoyre & Prasad picks up AJ100 Sustainable Practice of the Year

[AJ100 AWARDS] Penoyre & Prasad has won the AJ100 Sustainable Practice of the Year Award

This award is for outstanding commitment to sustainable design, based on evidence of exemplary built work, research, building performance monitoring and other initiatives.

Penoyre & Prasad’s passion for sustainable design and clarity of approach made it the clear winner this year. It translates passion into practice by incorporating learning from past projects into ongoing design work and through extensive industry engagement.

Noteworthy projects completed by the practice this year include the Sir Ludwig Guttmann Health and Wellbeing Centre and Crouch Hill Community Park, both in London.

Designed to meet the Olympic Delivery Authority’s sustainability targets, the health centre is a flexible community building that catered to athletes during London 2012 and will serve future residents of the East Village and Leyton.

The Crouch Hill project regenerates a neglected Islington park with low-energy community buildings, including a new build primary school, a refurbished youth club and a nursery.
