Party animals

It was party time in London last week. First off was the 'Ant Noises 2' show at the Saatchi Gallery, complete with Tracy Emin's beach hut and an extraordinarily lifelike waxwork model of Che Guevara which puts Madame Tussaud's to shame.

(Incidentally, the revolutionary leader was for a period governor of Cuba's central bank, known by the international banking fraternity as Che's Manhattan. ) The show preview was hosted by Pringle Brandon, with Jack P looking proprietorial. The show is great, by the way. Next came Davis Langdon & Everest's annual party, this time at the Tate Modern. A terrific time was had by all. I bumped into Richard Horden, whose Glasgow Tower is currently under construction with BDP now in the architect saddle.

Glasgow recently asked Richard for two words from him to sum up the project. I suggested 'All mine'.

Last but by no means least was the opening of Nicholas Grimshaw's latest exhibition at the Design Museum. Another great party. Will my liver manage to hold out?
