Paradigm shift: Architecture Now

'Paradigm shift: Architecture Now', is a reception and talk by aa lecturers Michael McNamara and Martha LaGess, held at the riba tonight at 18.30 (£15, or £25 per couple). Pictured is a painting by McNamara in 1994 entitled 'Domestic Landscape'.

Architect Zombory-Moldovan Moore is about to transform the Competitions Gallery of the riba with 'continuously cascading sheets of hydraulic oil', as part of an installation called The Oil Room. Other features will include a floor covered in soft cow hide, and a ceiling comprising synthetic fur. 'Senses will be both attracted and repulsed.' The exhibition is open from 2-28 February, Monday to Saturday.
