Paper Project reveals Mulberry Crescent house

  • Comment

[First look + plans + project data] Paper Project architecture + design has unveiled these images of its project to build a house on a former garages site in West Drayton, west London

Already on site, the 188m² project is designed to achieve code level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Replacing a series of ‘post-war’ garages, the four-bedroom home is designed as ‘two distinct blocks connected by an airy and largely transparent entrance space’, according to Paper Project.

Sleeping areas are housed in a two-storey ‘lime-rendered’ block while a ground-floor timber-clad structure contains the living spaces. A triple-glazed north-facing rear façade ‘connects’ the dwelling to its private garden.

The design which was commissioned by Hillingdon Borough Council also features and solar hot water panels and is wheelchair-accessible.
