Distinctive feature: Course aims to promote an inter-disciplinary understanding of broad political issues in climate change policy. Students will produce innovative solutions, working with communities, politicians and experts. Programme stresses integration of climate change mitigation and adaption.

Director comment: The programme draws on the school’s range of research, professional practice and interactive teaching, with expertise in the area of energy-efficient architecture, sustainable urban planning and design, sustainable property management and investment, and sustainability and environmental appraisal.

Career opportunities: Career opportunities will lie in the built environment professions, community groups, NGOs, media, social infrastructure, and consultancy across the field of the built and natural environments.

Entry requirements:
- Honours degree, 2.1 or equivalent, or
- Recognised PG Dip in related subject
- Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate appropriate level of English for study at postgraduate level. The course requires IELTS level 6 (preferably 6.5) in the academic test, with a minimum score of 6 in reading and writing. For TOEFL the required score is 550 or above (paper-based) or 79 or above (internet-based), with a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English (TWE)
