International competition on the theme of shoreline membranes.

ARCHITECTURE FOR HUMANITY - TRANSITIONAL HOUSING COMPETITIONS. Open competitionfor design of housing for returning Kosovars and others whose homes have been similarly destroyed. The goal is to raise awareness of the needs of returning refugees while developing better temporary housing solutions for victims of war or natural disaster. Deadline 27.9.99.

Artists are invited to express interest in establishing teams to design mobile exhibition pods at the c/plex arts centre in West Bromwich, designed by Alsop and Stormer. Different teams will be appointed to design each of the two pods. c/plex, which will occupy a former bus station site, will be centred around an interactive gallery. The client is Jubilee Arts.
