RNLI LIFEBOAT STATION, STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION. Student competition requesting designs for a national lifeboat station in Tenby, South Wales. The jury panel will include Joanna van Heyningen as the riba adviser. Registration deadline February 2000 and submission deadline 13 April 2000. Registration £5.00 (inc vat).

AKZO NOBEL WOODCARE STUDENT COMPETITION. (aj 28.10.99) The second Akzo Nobel competition asks for designs for a Museum of the Weather. Students may choose from one of three sites in the United Kingdom: Stirling; Cardiff; and Cambridge. The jury panel will include Niall McLaughlin as riba adviser. Submission deadline 13 July 2000. Registration - £7.50 (inc vat).

COMPETITION TO DESIGN A SEAFOOD STALL, FOLKESTONE. (aj 14.10.99) The Kent Architecture Centre is looking for exciting and innovative designs for a new temporary seafood stall to be located along the seafront in Folkestone. The competition is sponsored by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of England. The jury panel will include Julia Barfield. Submission deadline 3 February 2000. BRITISH STEEL STUDENT COMPETITION 2000. By taking part in this competition, you will have a chance to explore design issues in relation to railway architecture and learn about how to materialise them using steel. The senior assessor for this competition is Will Alsop, Alsop & Stormer. Registration deadline Friday 14 April 2000. Submission deadline Wednesday 28 June 2000.
