Open-City chair steps down

  • Comment

The chair of Open-City, Jane Priestman, has stepped down following 18 years at the organisation

Priestman will remain on the board of trustees and was most recently involved in rebranding the annual London architecture showcase event as Open-City, rather than Open House.

Victoria Thornton, founding director of Open-City, said: ‘Jane has contributed a tremendous amount in her 18 years as Chair and successfully taken us through our recent transition as we enter one of the most exciting periods in our history.’

Priestman was previously general manager for architecture and design with BAA and then director of architecture, design and environment at British Rail.

The board of trustees is now looking to appoint a successor.

The Open-City event takes place this year on 18 and 19 September.
