Why is Lorenzo Apicella, inheritor of Ron Herron’s moving mantle and apostle of the ephemeral, joining forces with Pentagram? I understand the venerable design firm has missed an architectural figure since the death of Theo Crosby several years back, while Apicella - whose group is going with him and who has just finished a building for Adshel - is seeking broader outlets. ‘They’re very interested in mobile architecture,’ he tells me. I trust this does not mean putting legs on the Globe Theatre, where all those traditional crafts were so patiently reconstructed, so that it can get up and walk!
