OMA appoints new managing partner

  • Comment

Rem Koolhaas’ practice, the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), has appointed David Gianotten as its new managing partner-architect

Gianotten will lead OMA worldwide – overseeing its offices in Rotterdam, Hong Kong, Beijing, Doha and New York – following the recent expansion of the OMA partnership to 10 people.

He will primarily be responsible for daily operations, business growth and long term strategy, but will also remain involved in OMA’s creative and architectural work and continue to oversee some of his ongoing projects in Asia and Australia.

Gianotten will relocate from Hong Kong to the Netherlands in early 2015 to work more closely with the other partners.
