Hats off to the riba, imaginative as ever. It had a clever idea for filling the dome before we heard the happy news that sponsorship is picking up. The organisers of the prestigious Stirling Prize, keenly aware that the awards party had burst Portland Place at the seams for the last two years, wondered about going to Greenwich. Such a pullulating mass of happy humanity might be entirely within the spirit of the project, but unfortunately the one night they wanted interfered with important things like recording Carol Vorderman shows - oh, and some construction work too. So they have to make do with next door, Norman'sNorth Greenwich transport interchange, a large space bereft of people until the Jubilee Line finally opens.
