Niall McLaughlin Architect has won planning permission for this competition-winning design for a new bandstand for the terrace at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. It features a carbon fibre shell derived from acoustic modelling of sound on the terrace on a lightweight steel frame. It is designed to be movablefor different performances and weather. The scheme will be completed during the summer.
