Loud machinery and production lines in catering kitchens, pharmaceutical and food manufacturing facilities are usually equipped with hard surfaces because they are easy to clean.
However, hard surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings reflect sound and can raise noise levels within these environments, creating an uncomfortable and stressful workplace.
Saint-Gobain Ecophon has launched a new range of acoustic ceilings that can meet stringent hygiene regulations, designed specifically for clean-room environments.
Made from 80% recycled glass wool, Ecophon Hygiene ceilings provide maximum sound absorption, are dust and dirt-repellent and can withstand regular cleaning. The Hygiene system can be dusted, vacuum cleaned, wet wiped and washed at high or low pressure with industrial detergent. The range also includes acoustic ceilings that are stain protected and grease resistant.
Ecophon has also designed a new range of level changes to enable greater freedom in varying the height of a ceiling in a room. The Focus Fixiform makes it possible to create sharp level changes quickly and simply to meet practical or aesthetic needs, while maintaining a sound acoustic environment.
