NEW Ceiling System for Hygiene Premises from Ecophon

Ecophon Hygiene LabotecAir A C1 is a new wall to wall, sound-absorbing ceiling system specifically designed for environments where there are demands for low particle emission, air pressure control and where occasional wet wiping and/or disinfection is required. The new solution will benefit laboratories, the pharmaceutical and electronics industries and healthcare premises, where air leakage can be an important issue.

The new system is designed to ensure optimised air permeability and has been designed to limit the air leakage through the ceiling, making this a suitable choice for a variety of high care environments and clean rooms.

The air permeability of the LabotecAir tiles is:

  • Labotec Air 40 mm= 0,7m3 / (h x m2 x Pa)
  • Labotec Air 20 mm= 1,2m3 / (h x m2 x Pa)

The system consists of Ecophon Hygiene LabotecAir tiles, available in 20mm or 40mm thicknesses, which have a core of high density recycled glass wool utilising 3RD Technology and a painted particle-repellent Akutex™ HP surface. The back of the tile is covered with an airtight glass tissue .The tiles are secured to the grid in order to better withstand air pressure changes.
