Natural History Museum shortlists five for new centre

London's Natural History Museum has drawn up a five-strong shortlist of architects to design phase two of the £50 million Darwin Centre, a new exhibition and research building, set to open in 2006 (AJ 3.5.01) Selected from 59 entries, the shortlisted practices are: Jeremy Dixon.Edward Jones; Future Systems; Rick Mather Architects; Dutch practice CF Mollers; and Spanish architect Rafael Moneo.

All five have three months to develop their schemes and a final decision will be made in November.
