It could be worth packing some discreet goodies and making your way to the Open Urban Picnic in south London from 22-26 September. However, this is not a scoff-opportunity but an exhibition. Architects, artists and designers will each produce lunch-box sized artworks, which will suggest ways of 'reclaiming urban sites for public use'. It all sounds intriguing, but not as funky as the list of headliners who are to produce full-scale installations: 24/7, ArchiTopf, FAT, Fluid, Tank, Turf, Zoo. Are these characters from some eco-warrior comic strip? The event, at the Gatfliff Road Depot, Gatliff Road, SW1, is curated by the new arts collaborative Urban Strategies + Artery; aka Corinna and Louise. See you there.
