Richard Murphy Architects has won a commission to design an arts and enterprise centre in Caernarfon, North Wales.
The £3.5 million building will include a studio theatre and office units, and will occupy 3000m2 on a Victoria Dock site just outside the town walls. Both lottery and eu grants will fund the project. Designs will be completed this summer. The brief was won through a competitive-interview process. It comes on top of recent appointments for art centres in Exeter, Leicester and Iwate in Japan.
