News

Left: specialist golf club house designer Mungo Park Architects (Park's great-grandfather won the first Open Championship at Prestwick in 1860) opted for a two-storey clubhouse with a zinc-covered roof and cedar strip facing on the first floor. A two-storey dormy house is set further to the north beyond the trees. The judges felt it was a 'careful yet unimposing design' which presented a safe visual solution, and they admired a terrace from the lounge which would attract the afternoon sun.
