The London Legacy Development Corporation has named the 24 architects and designers chosen for its four year framework covering the Olympic Park

Just under half the companies on the framework divided into three lots – architecture, landscape architecture and graphics – are based in east London.

Adams & Sutherland, Allies & Morrison, dRMM, Karakusevic Carson, Maccreanor Lavington, Meadowcroft Griffin, NORD, and Witherford Watson Mann Architects have been chosen for the architecture and urban design panel.

The landscape architecture panel meanwhile features East, Gustafson Porter, muf architecture/art, HASSELL, J & L, Amsterdam-based Strootman Landschapsarchitecten Gibbons Kinnear Landscape Architects  and Churchman Landscape Architects.

The successful applicants to the graphic design and visualisations panel were appetite, Dog Star, Arup, Greenspace, Hyperkit, Premm Design, Uniform and Battersea-based Squint / Opera.

The Legacy Corporation will issue mini competitions to the panel for projects including the design for a new canal side park along Lee Navigation.

Design guidance for the five new neighbourhoods and support for development projects on the Park and surrounding areas will also be tendered to the group.

Andrew Altman, London Legacy Development Corporation chief executive, said: ‘The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be defined by high quality design running through the neighbourhoods, venues, parklands and public spaces.

‘Legacy plans are further ahead than any previous Olympic host city and this is a great opportunity for architects and designers to help shape the future of the Park after the Games.’
