An exhibition, 'Connell Ward & Lucas - Modern Movement Architects in England 1929-39,' is to run from 11 to 29 October. The free show by University of Luton's department of design will be at its Park Square site and accompanied by a lecture by the curator, Professor Denis Sharp, on 12 October. Amyas Connell is credited with the first major modern domestic building in England, 'High and Over' in Amersham, built in 1931.
