MFI redesign is not Sir Terence's concern

Astragal's piece about Sir Terence Conran's supposed involvement in redesigning stores for MFI (AJ 8.3.01) is not only mean-spirited and sneering, it is misinformed.

Sir Terence has not been involved in Conran Design Group for more than a decade. He is chairman of Conran & Partners, where he continues to react against 'all things cheap and not very cheerful' as actively as he ever has.

Having said that, has Astragal been to MFI? Selective shopping can locate some acceptable products, just as successfully as a nightmare trip to the architects' nirvana, IKEA. Go on, try it. I dare you.
