Mews with views: Threefold creates house of many terraces

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS + DATA] AJ Small Projects shortlisted practice, Threefold Architects has refurbished a 1950s mews house in Camden

The house in north London has been revamped and extended, with the addition of a roof level pavilion, to create a family home.

An open plan family space on the first floor, which opens onto a large west facing terrace, is structured around a central stair that travels up the core of the building illuminated by glazing on every floor.

Three bedrooms, bathrooms and an utility room are located on ground floor with access to a secluded courtyard garden. A further bedroom and study that open onto terraces at the front and rear of the house are placed in the pavilion on the second floor.
