Basement enlightenment An architect's concept for the refurbishment of a Kensington pied-a-terre has been brought to life by Metal UK. Natural light is introduced to the interior by the extensive addition of glass, with a pitched structural glass ceiling, threeply beams and a cantilevered balcony floor on the ground floor letting light into the basement area beneath. The stairway down has been lined with a toughened glass balustrade.
