  • Comment

Ian McChesney has been appointed to design eight large benches for Granary Square in King’s Cross, London

The seats will be built in the Townshend Landscape Architects-designed Granary Square in pairs on either side of the four central fountains that were made by the Fountain Workshop.

Each 4 tonne bench will be carved in Cornish granite and will be 8m long by 1.2m deep.

Due to be installed in the square in early 2015, the benches are currently being manufactured
