[First look + plans] Maybank and Matthews Architects has taken the wraps off its 550m² White Cube Gallery project in Hong Kong

The gallery space opened to the public earlier this month, occupying the ground and first floor of Robert AM Stern Architects’ new 27-storey tower at 50 Connaught Road Central.

White Cube Hong Kong has a gallery height of more than 4.5 meters but is the smallest of the art dealership’s four venues.

Last year, Casper Mueller Kneer Architects completed White Cube’s third London gallery in Bermondsey Street.

London-based Maybank and Matthews was established in 2007 by Alexander Maybank and Clarissa Matthews.
