Scott Brownrigg + Turner Architects has unveiled its proposed masterplan for the redevelopment of Portishead Quays and Port Marine, near Bristol. Total investment is expected to reach £500 million. This is the largest development on a brownfield site in the South West. Formerly a phosphorous works and coalfired power station, the area will benefit from decontamination and infrastructure work costing £70 million before building commences. The masterplan includes a 350-berth marina, 3,500 new houses, 30,000m2 of employment space and 30,000m2 of retail units.

There are also plans for 65 ha of parkland.
