MANSER LOSES OUT

  • Comment
news

Manser Associates has been appointed only 'concept and consultant architects' on the award-winning Heathrow Hilton hotel the practice designed originally and won planning permission to extend last month. Client baa Lynton has now appointed gmw Partnership - one of its framework consultants and part of its 'Hotel Product Team' - as executive architect instead and for all future hotels.

gmw will be working on the 245-bedroom parallelogram extension, 1000-person convention hall, restaurant, bar and executive club for which Manser won planning permission. Michael Manser said he was 'disappointed' by baa's decision, especially given that both the hotel and Southampton Airport for baa had been delivered on time and under budget.
