Stephen Limbrick Associates has won a competition to design a 50m International Swimming Pool for Wales in Swansea for the local council and the university. It will cost £9 million and will overlook Swansea Bay. It will include a 25m trag pool and seats for 900 viewers. The project is due to go to planners in a month, start in mid 2000 and finnish in 2001. SportLot, the Welsh arm of the Lottery Sport Fund has pledged £7.2 million.
