The developers of Rotherham's £35 million Magna science and technology centre have revealed the latest images of the Water Pavilion structure. The Wilkinson Eyre Architects-designed scheme is in the form of a 'wave' of steel, whose 14 ribs are now in place. The scheme is 60m long,17m wide and 7m high and will contain an exhibition on how water is used in homes, bodies, the steel industry and the environment. Three other pavilions - earth, air and fire - will make up the Lottery-funded attraction, due to open in April 2001.
