Pavement lights supplied by Luxcrete have been used extensively as glazed walkways in the redevelopment of a hotel in Jersey into 113 single-bedroom apartments for the over-50s. Naish Waddington Architects' scheme is a visually arresting design landmark which dramatically enhances one of St Helier's central arteries, previously a rather monochrome area. The massing and external finishes create a distinctive identity, and added vibrancy is achieved with inexpensive finishes.
