London’s highest viewing platform to cap Pinnacle

KPF’s Pinnacle skyscraper will boast London’s highest viewing platform when it opens in 2013, following a re-design of the 288m-tall tower

The KPF-designed ‘Helter Skelter’ scheme now features a triple-level restaurant at 263-metre high, and a five-floor-high public mezzanine level with relics from the Museum of London.

The spiralling tower also features a cascade of open-air terraces starting at the 44th floor.

Developer Arab Investments has landed enough money to see the recently tweaked project through the year, with £550 million of debt financing lined up.

When complete the 72-storey skyscraper will replace 1 Canada Square as the tallest office building in London.

The scheme sits next to the 46-storey, 230m-tall Heron Tower in Bishopsgate, which tops out today (12 April) and is due to complete in March 2011.
