MacCormac Jamieson Prichard specified Lignacite's Apollo Shotblasted White Dolomite for the new Ruskin Library at Lancaster University. The masonry is laid in horizontal and soldier courses, with bands of grey-green precast concrete, to enhance the impression of cupped hands protecting a treasure. With its main area of elevation being over 30m long by 10 m high, it is one of the largest unbroken panels of blockwork in the UK and allows the crystalline texture of the shotblasted block to reflect maximum light.
