Stackbonded Sahara masonry units from Lignacite were specified for the new Web of Life building at London Zoo.

The building accommodates the invertebrate collection and has many technical similarities to a natural termite mound. While adhering to the building's environmental message, the blocks (incorporating graded wood particles) also add thermal capacity and improve thermal resistance compared to the average dense concrete block.
