Cool light The minimal heat-emission properties of Hera's LED lights make them suitable for illuminating heatsensitive products in retail outlets and art galleries. The ARF-LED 3CW and EH 24-LED 3CW units use three diodes, using only 1W of power and incorporating a small reflector. Lights come in cool and warm white.

Circular fitting rings the changes The Corona circular wall-mounted luminaire from Ridi Lighting uses a fluorescent 40W T5 lamp as part of its striking design. Available in titanium or white, and with a rage of decorative coloured spots on the rectangular housing, Corona is suitable for use in restaurants, schools and commercial interior applications. To veil and diffuse light, the option of a matt glass shade, half-round opal or clear polycarbonate cover is available.

Floodlight allows beams to vary The two new versions of Thorn Lighting's Qba floodlight use metal halide or high-pressure sodium lamps, from 35W to 150W. The compact projectors are IP65 rated, use integral gear and are made from cast aluminium. Available with four beam patterns produced by precision reflector systems, Qba floodlights come with a range of accessories including colour filters, louvres and wire guards.

Switch plates keep wires discreet Simmtronic's SPR.3 addressable wall-or-deskmounted radio switch plates are designed for use with its SPECS.3 advanced lighting system, to provide a totally wire-free control solution.

SPR.3 switches can be programmed to perform a variety of functions in scene or zonal control mode.

Each button may be individually configured to select or cycle between lighting schemes. Plates come in a choice of one, two, four and eightbutton modules and are suitable for commercial offices in which the use of glass partitioning makes it difficult to wire switch sites discreetly.

Cable management happens inside the box The new Onix range of floor boxes and power grommets from Ackermann is intended for use in hard floor surfaces such as stone, marble, wood and ceramic tiles. Floor boxes have recessed lids to accommodate any finish and are sealed against water ingress for wet washing. Available in three versions, with or without cord and with slip-proof surfaces, Onix floor boxes are easily secured against unauthorised access to power and data services.

Emergency light with a modest presence In emergency situations, Fagerhult's new emLED range uses a single high-output 1W LED as a light source.

Developed as an unobtrusive alternative to standard bulkier lights, emLED is available as a component for integral application or as a selfcontained stand-alone unit, which can be recessed or surface mounted. Able to operate at low ambient temperatures, emLED units provide around three hours of emergency lighting and are easy to install.

Retail prospects are looking up GET has launched a range of additions to its Luneta indoor lighting collection. The curved floating glass option is available with 50W lowvoltage MR16 and mains halogen GU10 pressed downlighters. Intended for use in retail applications, it comes in brass, chrome and white finishes. Extending GET's display lighting range is the 50W flat-plate spotlight. Fittings come in seven colours and can be swivelled a full 270 degrees and tilted by up to 60 degrees to illuminate merchandise with white halogen light.
