Large hike in Feilden Clegg Bradley's profits

Bath and London-based Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBS) has revealed a healthy set of trading figures which show a 28 per cent rise in profits

The practice’s pre-tax profit for the year ending 31 March 2012 leapt from £1.83 million to £2.38 million in another fruitful 12 months for the company ranked 18th in last year’s AJ100 league tables..

As well as adding another 14 employees - FCBS’ total workforce including, ‘members’, architects and support staff is now 128 - the outfit saw its turnover rise from £8.65 million to £9.9 million.

The majority of that income came from UK projects (£9.7 million).

In the last year the company has submitted proposals to restore and regenerate the UK’s last working Victorian pottery (AJ 24.04.2012), revealed 74,000m² plans for the mixed-use redevelopment of the BBC’s former Manchester headquarters (AJ 19.06.2012) and saw off an impressive shortlist to bag the contentious revamp of London’s Southbank Centre (AJ 01.10.2012).

Work also completed on the practice’s Hive building in Worcester - a £40 million ‘golden’ library and history centre.
