KONE sustainability diary: KONE's transformed elevator portfolio

[Sponsored post] This month KONE has unveiled a completely transformed elevator portfolio to the global marketplace, its largest new product offering for years. Here Simon Dow, business development director for KONE explains more.

This is a very exciting time for KONE. We have made significant improvements in eco-efficiency, ride comfort, design and space efficiency.  In summary, our elevator offering has been upgraded from top to bottom to meet 21st century customer and market demand. 

New solutions include renewed, compact and energy-efficient drives with silent brakes, ensuring low noise levels and accurate floor levelling. 

User experience has been further enhanced with visually appealing, functional and award winning new designs.

Our new elevators are also up to 35 per cent more energy efficient than KONE’s previous industry-leading elevator.  KONE is the first company in the elevator industry to receive an A- Class energy rating according to the VDI 4707 guideline for its volume products.

Couple all of this with highly dependable on-site installation and the advantages to our customers are multi-fold. For instance the KONE Building Information Modelling models will make it easier and quicker to prepare digital elevator deigns and the KONE CarDesigner tool will allow a visual and interactive car interior demonstration.
