Recent testing of Keim mineral paints at Warrington Fire Research Institute has shown a Class O spread-of-flame rating when tested to BS476 parts 6 and 7, even over existing paint coatings. Mineral paints such as Keim's are inherently noncombustible, and Keim's paint system was tested on a variety of samples, each of which had up to eight previous assorted coatings applied. In every case the mineral-paint system achieved Class O performance.
