Tate Modern opened its doors with a spectacular, high-profile event which can hardly have gone unnoticed by anyone in the country.

All the existing interior brickwork and concrete surfaces in the vast main lobby area - the former turbine hall - have been redecorated with Keim Mineral Paints, using a specially mixed colour replicating the oxide tone of the metalwork. A two-coat Keim Granital system meets the specification for a longlife paint which will retain its colour throughout its life.
