Sculptor Gerry Judah, working with Capita Symonds, created this centrepiece for the 210 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Sponsored by Alfa Romeo, the structure in Chichester, West Sussex was designed with a nod to the car manufacturer’s Quadrifoglio badge and the red livery of its racing cars.
The 18.5m-tall sculpture featured an Alfa Romeo P2 and a 2003 8C Competizione and is made from 12 tonnes of steel in 32 sections of 323.9mm diameter steel.
A new sculpture is created for the festival each year and as with its predecessors, it only remains for the duration of the festival which took place this weekend (2-4July). It will now be dismantled.
