Jubilee cheer

  • Comment

Plans for an exhibition celebrating the Jubilee Line Extension and the effect it has had on the physical (and mental) map of London looked doomed when a shortage of funds prevented the show being mounted at last year's Venice Biennale. But you can't keep a good idea down, and now the exhibition, organised by Wordsearch with MaryAnne Stevens from the RA, will take place in New York, starting in the autumn and running into the Golden Jubilee year. No doubt Richard MacCormac will play a prominent role in the design of the show, both in his capacity as chairman of the RIBA architecture committee, and as one of the Jubilee station architects.
