Jesus' father was an architect, scholar claims

A new book by a London-based author has questioned the long-held biblical translation that Joseph, Jesus’ father, was a carpenter

According to Adam Bradford’s The Jesus Discovery, Joseph was actually an architect or masterbuilder – an error born out of the mistranslation of the Greek word ‘tekton’.

The mistake, he believes, changes the whole perception of Jesus’ humble background and explains why there are so many references to buildings in the New Testament.
