The wcs in the basement at Bank Restaurant, designed by Wickham & Associates, seem like something out of the Arabian Nights in contrast to the rather glacial atmosphere of the main bar and restaurant. They sport mosaic finishes in hot reds, yellows and blues, crystalline granite flooring and surfaces ('Emerald Pearl'), and chunky timber doors. Cubicles are fitted with integral basins; the wc flush works by touch-button and taps are automatic. But sexism seems to be at work: the men's is awash in freebies: perfumes, breath fresheners, body sprays - and an attendant. No hand-outs or assistance in the women's, however.
