Instructions help to keep Beeb revolving

In answer to Alan Beardmore's question about the BBC's written instructions to staff on how to use a revolving door (Chatroom, AJ 1.3.01), I am reliably informed that the door in question was a large, staff-operated revolving door requiring a security pass operation to make it work.

As a security measure, the door functions automatically rather than mechanically, and deliberate pushing against the leaves causes the door to seize up. The document issued to BBC staff was a 'useful, quick and tactful' way of reminding staff not to push.
