The AJ’s sister title Construction News was taken on a tour of the the ‘Walkie Talkie’ skyscraper at 20 Fenchurch Street yesterday, as media viewed the central London development for the first time.

Land Securities and Canary Wharf Group are joint developers behind the 38-storey project, which was designed by architect Rafael Viñoly.

The unique shape of the skyscraper as it fans out from the base allows for greater floorspace further up the building. Construction started in January and is due to finish in April 2014.
