[First look + plans] These are the first images of KPF’s project to redevelop King’s Reach tower on London’s Southbank
KPF was appointed to redevelop the tower in September last year, sidelining 37,000m² plans by Make which involved re-cladding the building, adding four new floors and demolishing a podium structure.
Expected to go before Southwark Council’s planning committee next month, the KPF scheme features 42,000m² and 177 residential units and adds six new storeys to the tower.
The project also retains and refurbishes Seifert’s original T-shaped podium structure creating a roof terraces and improved public realm.
If approved, work is expected to commence early next year. A public consultation on the scheme will close next week.
