Belfast practice Hackett Hall McKnight has won a competition to design a new public square in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The firm beat three local architects to the 150,000 kroner (£18,000) first prize.

The 18 million kroner (£2.2 million) project is due for completion in 2012.
