IMPERIAL HOPE: Daniel Libeskind's design for the Imperial War Museum of the North in Trafford has come closer to being built after winning an £8.2 million grant from the European Union. The Imperial War Museum now has 75 per cent of the funding for the £28.5 million project, and hopes to hit the full target by the end of September, despite having its Heritage Lottery Fund application rejected.
