RISKY BUSINESS: English Heritage launched a comprehensive 'buildings at risk' register this week - which embarrassingly revealed that one of them is the Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner, a Grade I-listed monument owned by the government. Built in 1864, a user is currently being sought. More than 1500 buildings and monuments are on the register, including Ditherington Maltings in Shropshire, the world's first iron-frame building, built in 1796.
