Stockport-based SiteCo has just installed a lighting system into a giant airship hanger near Berlin.

The building - 360m long,220m wide and 107m high - was commissioned by Cargo Lifter, which proposes to build four airships a year. The hangar is big enough to contain the Berlin Reichstag or the Munich Olympic stadium. A transparent roof-membrane allows daylight to enter the structure, while artificial light is introduced through a system of glare-free projectors and reflectors.
