A £30 million design by Weedon Partnership for the Rover Group at Gaydon, Warwickshire, has won the Office of the Year award. The building, first occupied in 1996, was singled out for its design integrity and functional efficiency. The awards are run by the British Institute of Facilities Management.

Schemes by Foster and Partners, rmjm and Fletcher Priest Architects are on a shortlist for British Council for Offices awards. The awards are in four categories, including a new 'test of time' award for pre-1990 buildings. Foster and Partners' Mistral Building in Reading, rmjm's New Zealand House (against Arup Associates' Broadgate1-4 for the test of time award) and Fletcher Priest's Sony European hq are up for gongs. Winners will be announced on 18 May at London's bafta in Piccadilly.
